Pick a Film Mini-Review

Marking Redford's last film role, The Old Man & the Gun bookends a stellar career spanning decades and many of the most memorable films of the last 50 years. It might not rank among Redford's top 5 or 10 films, and while Redford's performance was standout, the story while neatly tied up, is real and sad at the same time. One wants to root for Redford's character which in a way is about good directing and storytelling—the viewer is uncomfortable but mainly because it was at the time Redford's final film.
