Journey to You

Drama • Unrated • Directed by: Terry Ingram • 84 minutes

Following getting passed up for a promotion, dedicated but burnt out nurse practitioner Monica Miller finds herself at a difficult crossroads. Urged by her mother Olivia, who has broken her ankle, Monica reluctantly agrees to take her place on a pilgrimage along the Camino de Santiago, following in her parents footsteps many years prior. Despite her initial resistance to the journey's slow pace and spiritual aspects, Monica begins to find solace in the pilgrimage's unexpected adventures and encounters. Along the way, she meets the handsome Luis, his straightforward father Ernesto, and his shy son Mateo, who are walking the Camino to bond as a family. As they traverse Spain's historic path, the group discovers healing and laughter through heartfelt conversations and delicious local cuisine. Together, they navigate the rugged terrain, encountering quirky locals, eclectic pilgrims, and moments of spiritual significance that challenge their perspectives and open their hearts. As Monica's connection with Luis deepens amidst the stunning Spanish backdrop, she begins to embrace her parents philosophy that life's unplanned detours can lead to the most beautiful discoveries. However, Monica and Luis's blossoming romance will undergo a dramatic detour of its own when Mateo becomes upset, causing Monica to finish the trek on her own. In the end, Luis catches up with Monica and professes his love on the beautiful cliffs of Finisterre.
