Clary reveals that Jocelyn hid the Cup in a tarot card that Luke keeps in his desk at the precinct. An Internal Affairs investigation and a demon impede their efforts to retrieve it. Clary, Jace, Isabelle and Alec enact a plan to obtain the Cup, but when a demon posing as Jace attempts to take the Cup from Clary, she kills it. Afterward, Clary and the real Jace share a kiss at the Institute. Simon's odd behavior worries his family, who fear he is on drugs. He returns to the Hotel Dumort looking for answers and is met by Camille.
