Alec begins the Downworlder Cabinet, a weekly meeting with representatives from the warlocks, vampires, Seelies, and werewolves. Maryse and Isabelle discuss her father’s infidelity and her yin fen addiction. They reconcile. At the Seelie Court, the Queen reveals Clary still harbours feelings for Jace. An unknown individual with a plot to execute Valentine contacts Luke. Luke heads down to the Institute cells to kill Valentine, but is foiled by Sebastian and Alec. Isabelle asks Raphael to pursue a relationship with her and he refuses.
